My training philosophy follows a combination of Coach Jack Daniels belief in zone training and the principles of Arthur Lydiard's three phases of marathon training. By adding the Daniels approach with the Lydiard approach we derive with what I believe to be the optimal level of perfomance training. This training program has been created to allow for a slow and steady adaptation to the training stimulus thus reducing the risk of injury.
